2020 has been an unusual and difficult year for many, and we understand that the full repercussions of what we have all been through are still to be felt - but with summer waning and the glory of Autumn still to come, we continue with a healthy amount of discussion on some of our favourite horticultural topics, bringing a little dose of the garden to your daily lives.
On Lucy and Saul's Essex Road trip a few weeks back they visited RHS Hyde Hall near Chelmsford, a gorgeous garden know for its sweeping vistas, dry garden and huge herbaceous and mixed planting island beds. In this second part they take a good look around the garden as a whole, admiring the planting in both the dry and winter gardens, as well as musing on the sweeping herbaceous and mixed planting that demonstrate a great sense of what can be achieved in a more difficult growing environment.
